Gotta watch for rocks coming out of the portage dock on Long Lake.
Well, this sadly neglected blog is at least seeing a little resurgence in action. It's not that I wasn't thinking about it, but just that I was thinking about so many other things. It's no secret that I was not thrilled about my upcoming job up at Thor this swing: drill site geotech/geomech (geotechmech), and even less thrilled about doing it over night. Well, the days of bitching an moaning are over, (and the days of subtle resentment and passive aggression begin) and it is now time to get it over with. I'm already several nights into this night shift stint. It's a pity to sleep through such beautiful days we've been having, but I'd rather that than working through a lousy night. On the plus side, I'm almost done my book, since there is a lot of downtime at the drill. Above all, I'm getting experience in drawing lines with a straight edge, something I haven't done for a while. Hopefully I'll be joining the dayshift geologist soon, considering there is only one of them at the moment and he is absolutely swamped with core. Updates to come, keep reading.
